City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department’s FREE Art program for teens
Totally Cool Totally Art (TCTA) has been cultivating creative teens since 1996. TCTA is unique in that the classes are completely free to Austin's youth community. We send professional emerging artists to the recreation centers around the city, where teens will learn various techniques by working directly alongside professional artists. Techniques include painting, sculpture, fashion, cooking, film making, print making, theater production, improv/ sketch comedy, and more!!
Current Offerings:
For Summer 2022, sign up for TCTA's theatre or film camp.
Learn alongside professional artists while constructing an original play or film from the ground up. Whether you're comfortable on the stage or backstage, behind the camera or in front of it, we have a place for you.
The theatre session runs from June 6th to June 30th, while the film session runs from July 11th to August 4th.
Classes are Monday through Thursday, 2-5pm at the Asian American Resource Center on Cameron Rd.
