Custom poetry -- and workshops -- on typewriters!

For over a decade, Typewriter Rodeo has written custom poems on-the-spot on typewriters, at schools and events all over the country. We also do poetry workshops and educator keynotes.

In our poetry workshop, the Rodeo starts out by BOOM! making up a poem in under a minute, on whatever topic the students give, on a typewriter. Then we walk through the basics of poetry, some of our poetic tips, and end by having the students pair up and write gift poems for each other. Also includes readings from our award-winning book of kids's poems, UNIVERSE AT THE TIPS OF YOUR TOES, and a Q&A session if time. Ideal for grades 2-7. Online version available.
