Allison Lash's Awesome Art! is a small, woman-owned business offering process-based art experiences for all ages, rooted in Reggio Emilia & SEL. Mom, artist, & former NYC public school art teacher Allison welcomes all skill levels in her community workshops, working with schools, museums, and orgs.
Visual Art Teaching Residencies:
Hands-on workshops that partner with classroom teachers and students to build an artist's mindset while turning mistakes into new ideas, adapting, and thinking outside the box. Activities include printmaking, natural textile dyeing, sewing, puppet making, photography, clay, sculpture, drawing, painting, mural making, beading, weaving, bookmaking, up cycled materials art and collage. Art activities connect to other subjects for deeper, lasting learning.
Art Teacher Mentoring Partnerships:
Helping build and sustain a thriving art studio. Allison works with district Visual Arts Coordinators and teachers to strengthen art education across the district.
Professional Development & Community Workshops:
Hands-on sessions for teachers and families that build strategies for reaching different learning styles, using visual arts to connect learning across subjects. Allison also creates and facilitates hands-on community workshops.
