Austin Creative Reuse
Where Creativity Becomes Conservation

Austin Creative Reuse offers enriching field trip experiences that introduce participants to the importance of sustainability and creativity through hands-on engagement at our center. Each hour-long trip includes an interactive presentation about conservation and a tour of our public creative reuse center. Programming is designed to inspire creative thinking and environmental responsibility.
We offer two primary activity options:
Craft Activity: Participants engage in a hands-on project using a variety of reclaimed and donated materials. These activities are designed to be creative and provide a practical demonstration of transforming discarded items into new creations.
Service Learning Project: For groups interested in a more direct contribution, service learning projects involve assisting with the operational needs of our center. This can include tasks such as sorting, organizing, or preparing donated materials for public access, providing a behind-the-scenes look at how a creative reuse center functions.
Field trips to ACR are a great option for all grade levels, from pre-K through high school. The educational components and activities are adjusted to meet the needs of each group, and ensures the experience is engaging for all..
